Do you need any more proof that animated introductions on websites do not work?
These are a month’s stats for a website I am revamping. They currently have a flash introduction which lasts about 10 seconds and then requires the visitor to click a “mystery meat” navigation link to carry on. They want to keep it.
These stats show that the average person leaves the website (closes their browser window or presses back) after just 7 seconds. They are obviously do not like the flash intro and do not want to sit through it.
